Terms & Conditions

Article 1. Definitions and Applicability 1.1 In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

  • Artist/Studio: Felix Newhouse, located in Eindhoven and Schiedam.

  • Client: The natural person making an appointment or undergoing a procedure by the Artist.

  • Agreement: Any arrangement between the Artist and the Client for the placement of a tattoo. 1.2 These terms and conditions apply to all requests, offers, and agreements between the Artist and the Client. 1.3 By paying the deposit, the Client explicitly and unconditionally agrees to these terms and conditions.

Article 2. Age and Identification 2.1 The Artist exclusively tattoos individuals aged 18 and older. 2.2 The Client is required to provide valid and original identification (passport, ID card, or driver’s license) prior to the procedure. 2.3 If the Client cannot present valid identification on the day of the appointment or is found to be under 18, the appointment will be canceled and the deposit will be forfeited.

Article 3. Requests and Design 3.1 A request via the website does not constitute a final booking. The Artist reserves the right at all times to refuse projects if they do not align with his style, vision, or expertise. 3.2 The final design will only be presented to the Client on the day of the appointment. 3.3 Time is reserved on the day of the appointment for minor adjustments to the design (such as size and minor details). It is not possible to change the entire concept on the day itself. 3.4 The intellectual property and copyright of the created sketches and designs remain with the Artist at all times.

Article 4. Deposits and Payment 4.1 To secure an appointment, the Client is required to pay a deposit. 4.2 Deposits are strictly non-refundable. In the event of a final cancellation of an appointment, the deposit will not be returned. 4.3 The deposit will be deducted from the total price of the tattoo (or, for larger projects, from the final session). 4.4 The remaining balance must be paid directly after the session in the studio.

Article 5. Canceling and Rescheduling Appointments 5.1 If the Client wishes to reschedule the appointment, this must be communicated in writing (via email) at least 72 hours (3 business days) prior to the scheduled appointment. 5.2 Upon timely rescheduling (within the 72-hour notice period), the deposit will be transferred to the new date (maximum of one time). 5.3 In the event of failure to reschedule or cancel on time (within 72 hours of the appointment) or a ‘no-show’, the deposit will be forfeited to compensate for the Artist’s reserved time. A new deposit must be paid to secure a new appointment. 5.4 If the Client arrives at the studio more than 30 minutes late without prior notice, the Artist reserves the right to cancel the appointment. The deposit will thereby be forfeited.

Article 6. Health and Preparation 6.1 The Client is obliged to truthfully answer the questions on the intake form regarding their health (including medication use, allergies, and pregnancy). 6.2 The Client is not permitted to use numbing cream without prior written consent from the Artist. Many of these creams negatively affect skin texture and the healing process. Use without consultation may lead to refusal of treatment and loss of the deposit. 6.3 The Client must be well-rested, have eaten well, and not have consumed alcohol or drugs for at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. 6.4 The Artist has the right to refuse or halt a treatment if the Client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if the Artist deems it medically or hygienically irresponsible to perform or continue the treatment.

Article 7. Hygiene and House Rules 7.1 The Artist works according to the strict hygiene guidelines of the GGD (Dutch Municipal Health Service) and exclusively uses single-use sterile needles and high-quality vegan inks. 7.2 To ensure peace, focus, and hygiene, group sessions are not permitted. The Client may bring a maximum of one person for support during the initial consultation, but the tattooing process itself is strictly one-on-one (only the Artist and the Client). 7.3 Children and pets are not allowed in the studio.

Article 8. Aftercare and Touch-ups 8.1 The Client will receive verbal and/or written aftercare instructions after the session. The Client is personally responsible for the proper care and healing of the tattoo. 8.2 If the tattoo has not healed completely evenly, the Client is entitled to one free touch-up session, provided this is reported within 6 months of the original session. 8.3 The free touch-up is void if the Client has visibly failed to follow the aftercare instructions adequately (e.g., damage from sun exposure, swimming, or scratching). 8.4 Tattoos in specific locations, including but not limited to hands, feet, and fingers, are excluded from the free touch-up policy due to the natural wear and tear of the skin in these areas.

Article 9. Liability 9.1 The Artist is never liable for any form of damage, whether physical (such as infections, inflammations, scarring, or allergic reactions) or material (damage to clothing), unless there is intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Artist. 9.2 The Artist is not liable for the final aesthetic result if the Client changes their mind after approving the design and placement (the stencil). 9.3 The Client enters the studio at their own risk.
